All the different shades and textures of moss. Did you know moss was one of the first plants to grow on land? Moss and its cousins were revolutionaries, pushing boundaries past the sea and onto barren rock. The first of its kind. What comes to mind when you think of this? The silent inching, quiet revolution, yearning to grow from one environment to a new one. The uncertainty and resilience. This piece has over 600 French knots, tediously honoring the smallest actions that shape our lives in the direction we desire to live.  

Details: 

This is a mixed media painting with hand embroidered stitches on a 1.38" canvas and unframed. The edges are painted a complimentary color to the design. This piece is titled and signed on the back along with a certificate of authenticity, and will arrive wired and ready to hang.
